Earth Age

Should Hillary Clinton run for President in 2016?

In the Old Testament, Judge Deborah (or Debbie, if you prefer) was not THE Judge of Israel at that time because she had some special talents or leadership abilities which males of that time could not have. Nor was it that she worked any harder than Hitler worked becoming the Nazi Fuehrer, or Hugh Hefner worked on his nudie-pix magazine empire. Nor was the Holy Spirit desperately craving anti-boring inferior-gender-imposition variety.

Rather, it is simply that the males of that time were pathetic wimps who did not have the balls to take charge themselves without being bossed around by a woman:

Judges 4:4 Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.
5 She used to sit under the palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim; and the people of Israel came up to her for judgment.
6 She sent and summoned Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali, and said to him, "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you, 'Go, gather your men at Mount Tabor, taking ten thousand from the tribe of Naphtali and the tribe of Zebulun.
7 And I will draw out Sisera, the general of Jabin's army, to meet you by the river Kishon with his chariots and his troops; and I will give him into your hand.'"
8 Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go."
9 And she said, "I will surely go with you; nevertheless, the road on which you are going will not lead to your glory, for the LORD will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Then Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

So the presumption that God wants women in governmental and military control now and then jives well with the following, as the sun rises each morning in the west and not the east:

Isaiah 3:12 My people: children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. Oh my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.

Nahum 3:13 Hey, your troops are women in your midst. The gates of your land are wide open to your foes; fire has devoured your bars.

First Timothy 2:12 I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.
13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve;
14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
15 Yet woman will be saved through bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with modesty.

Now, on to the main subject, concordant with the title above.

First, an statement of obviously-"given" (prerequisite) historical Biblical backround:

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth.
19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
20 Ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature, namely, His eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;
21 for although they knew God they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles....

We genuine scientists (whether Divinely-inspired tent-dwelling nomads or mansion-owners or in-between) DO believe that perhaps soft, or semi-soft, or made-to-become-soft-again dinosaur tissue and blood could exist.....even maybe up to and including 60 to 80 million or even a zillion Earth years from the time we are at right now.....except that we Christians specializing in the science of theology (i.e. the study of God, in contrast to specialized study in biology, archeology, physiology, paleotology, and so on) do not embrace the heresy of Earth age being more than 8000 years old.....on Scriptural grounds.

From a purely logical and sensible point of view, our human concept of time (involving divisions of seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, and millennia) - even the present precisely-measured artificially-designated periods of starting and stopping relating to vibration of selected nuclear particles with selected atoms of selected elements - is predicated upon what can best be described as what is recorded in Genesis chapter one of The Sacred-66-books Judeo-Christian Holy Bible:

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.
3 And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day [Heb. yom, pronounced: yohm].
6 And God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
7 And God made the firmament and separated the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament. And it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9 And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.
10 God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth." And it was so.
12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,
15 and let them be lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth." And it was so.
16 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth,
18 to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

Apart from the above record, we humans really have no other reliable reference to formulate any credibly-believable time frame -- not merely of human history, which began for the first time when humans first began as to their initial creation on planet Earth -- but before human history related to start-and-stop time periods.

Our Creator obviously foresaw that we curious scientifically-minded humans not only would want to explore, investigate, and contemplate time-period knowledge....but that it was absolutely vital for us to be able to calculate time for our very continuing existence. Hence, the Genesis record given to us.

There are several crucial things to note in the Genesis passage above.

First, there is no better way to describe the start of time (as an abstract concept) than with the non-childish words of the non-childish phrase found above: "in" "the" "beginning."

Second, it is reasonable to assume (not "presume") that The Clock (so to speak) started at ZERO and proverbially continued ticking from the moment (and can we not accurately say: "moment?") that the Creator suddenly called both the heavens and the Earth into existence out of nothing (without any alleged and ridiculous "Big Bang" baloney)?

Third, notice the phenomenal absence of any stated or revealed time period from the initial creation of heavens and earth to the start of Day One of Creation Week. It logically appears that there was a continuum from the intial creation of heavens and earth onward in time to the end of Day One.

Fourth, from the initial beginning of ongoing time forward, there are no stated or revealed time pauses between Days of Creation Week, but rather the record clearly indicates an ongoing continuum.

Fifth, the Hebrew Text (translated into English) has the word yom for demarcation of each "Day" of Creation Week. When that word yom is combined with an ordinal number (first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, etc.) AND is accompanied with the Hebrew idiomatic phrase: "...and there was evening and there was morning..." -- there is absolutely no other intended understanding of what those "day" time periods are meant to mean (and ONLY mean) than: 24-hour periods (with or without the creation and continued existence of sun and moon and stars on Day 4 of Creation Week - even Earth itself in the beginning - established to assist humans in differentiating "signs and seasons and days and years").

Sixth, The Clock continues without stated or revealed interruptions up to and into the creation of Adam from inanimate dust on Day 6 of Creation Week , after the LORD created both plant and animal lifeforms "out of the ground" (Genesis 2: ) -- all of whom and which were dependent upon solar and lunar presence plus time-period delineations from both:

Genesis 1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
20 And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the firmament of the heavens."
21 So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so.
25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the cattle according to their kinds, and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply [no abortion-homicide nor condoms nor spermicides nor morning-after pills, please], and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."
29 And God said, "Hey, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth,
everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.
31 And God saw everything that he had made, and hey, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground the LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:19 So out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.

The reproducing "according to their kinds" mentioned above does NOT bespeak of nor imply mutations-based evolution from one species to another (although the subject of within-kind variations and adaptations due to sundry DNA-and-genome genetic combinations and environmental factors is not mentioned within those verses). Such stability of reproductive-kind consistency is reaffirmed by the insight of the respected scientist known as "Job" (pronounced: johb) of the Old Testament:

Job 11:12 But a stupid man will get understanding, when a wild donkey's colt is born a man.

Our not-defiant-nor-rebellious-against-Scriptural-authority-professed 8000-year-old age of not simply planet Earth but the entire contents of the Universe is rightfully and understandably calculated and calibrated not merely on the opening chapters of Genesis, but also the following chapters of recorded Genesis history revealing overlapping lifespans of Adam and his offspring:

Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.
2 Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived a hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
4 The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years; and he had other sons and daughters.
5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
6 When Seth had lived a hundred and five years, he became the father of Enosh.
7 Seth lived after the birth of Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and had other sons and daughters.
8 Thus all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 When Enosh had lived ninety years, he became the father of Kenan.
10 Enosh lived after the birth of Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and had other sons and daughters.
11 Thus all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
12 When Kenan had lived seventy years, he became the father of Mahalalel.
13 Kenan lived after the birth of Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years, and had other sons and daughters.
14 Thus all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Jared.
16 Mahalalel lived after the birth of Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and had other sons and daughters.
17 Thus all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.
18 When Jared had lived a hundred and sixty-two years he became the father of Enoch.
19 Jared lived after the birth of Enoch eight hundred years, and had other sons and daughters.
20 Thus all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.
21 When Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Methuselah.
22 Enoch walked with God after the birth of Methuselah three hundred years, and had other sons and daughters.
23 Thus all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
25 When Methuselah had lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, he became the father of Lamech.
26 Methuselah lived after the birth of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had other sons and daughters.
27 Thus all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.
28 When Lamech had lived a hundred and eighty-two years, he became the father of a son,
29 and called his name Noah, saying, "Out of the ground which the LORD has cursed this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the toil of our hands."
30 Lamech lived after the birth of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and had other sons and daughters.
31 Thus all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.
32 After Noah was five hundred years old, Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Genesis 9:29 All the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years; and he died.

Probable worldwide, pollution-free, global-canopy rainforest conditions were prevalent and ideal on planet Earth for large plants and animals and long lifespans before the sinners-destroying worldwide cataclysmic Flood in Noah's time came, but after that came harsh conditions of climactic change (e.g. violent winds, rains, snowstorms, ice caps, cosmic-radiation intrusion, etc.) which thereafter were in effect.

It is likely that such, among other factors (such as lack of typical or usual food, hunting, predators, and so on.....but NOT the myth of massive meteorite bombardment) that caused most of Earth dinosaurs to become extinct -- and all within the last 8000 years....NOT the absurdly-imagined 60 to 80 million years or more and more and more, which needlessly-lengthy deviant-immentality presumptions not only violate every known type of properly-calibrated radioactive dating, but also the belief in Psalmist-uttered "Earth has been established and shall not be moved" constancy of light speed, radioactive decay rates, and that the Creator made not only mega-light-years-distant stars but also enroute starlight humans have been watching within the past 8000 years, as He both randomly (i.e. according to His freewill choice) and initially made non-random (i.e. stable and consistent, with specific and limited-parameter) lifeforms in non-random adult form with all their intricate non-randomly interdependent biological parts intact, non-randomly fully-functional right from the start.
